Seeing the MCs stand on their own a bit more in this book made all the difference. Also, the path of the gods magic system is really cool. I hope that gets more attention in the third book.

I loved it especially Walt's curse which was unexpected.. the start was a little boring..

Solid, enjoyable read. I don't like the Kane series as much as the Percy Jackson books yet--I miss Percy's narrative voice a lot--but there's something nice about a book that's just sheer fun. Might have read better if I'd taken the time to reread The Red Pyramid.
