This was a good attempt at creating a world with no boundaries/taboo towards sex and where everyone is basically happy to have sec with anyone but really it just became a plotless porno

A short a sweet graphic novel about polyamorous romance in the first generation born in space. I loved how they navigated the cultural conflict, and encouraged communication. The author spent a lot of this book on exposition. There was some great world building, but I did kind of want there to be more plot than this. I’m hoping this means they may write a series in this world.

*I received a free DRC from netgalley and the publisher. This does not affect my review.*

So this is basically like someone just really wanted a story with poly-amorous folk (which is awesome, and why I downloaded it from netgalley), so they set it in space in the future, and just had them all bang. The plot was not fleshed out, at all. The characters were not fleshed out, at all. I would take a pass on this one, though i did like the art.

A cute graphic novel with an interesting story. I love the concept of polyamorous relationships being the norm rather than the exception.

The artwork is what's dragging this down for me. I like complex artwork, and this was just a bit too cartoony for me.

Either way, I liked the story and would recommend it to anyone looking for some steamy and graphic sci-fi.

It's tragic I didn't like this book more then I did. Queer and Polyamarous and full of people of color is all stuff I really really love. I love a lot of the concept of the world although the then space setting felt less cool then the ideal California utopia they proposed. The relationships feel more like free love hippie stuff then clear polyam stuff. I don't know any of the creators own relationships with Polyamory and I understand that pretty much all our experiences are different but this felt much more like a, "let's turn to semi monagamy" as opposed to what could be great about Polyam relationships. There is so much wasted potential that thinking of it honestly makes me like the book less. The ending goal of being a primary with someone just felt icky in a story that was sold as a polyam sexy erotica. Like it would have been much nicer to see an ending that really felt like it reflected a thruple or a polycule solidifying. The sex didn't really do it for me (not really that into sex but I am extra not into MF sex with no kinks). The romance didn't work for me at all really I didn't feel why she wanted to be primary and I mean it opens with her dreaming about being with two different people eating a burger. Like I don't know was this a victim of first time writing a GN or was it like just not exactly well advertised. I really am not sure but I think it was good enough for a read for a different perspective then mine.

In terms of art I feel it's good, Eva is one of my favorite artists but it also doesn't really add to the sexiness here, it doesn't contrast the setting, mode, or tone in a way that might amplify the sex with the style. I love what Oni is trying to do with their new line and I hope we see more attempts like this even if this one isn't exactly a banger.
