If you know me, this is not the type of book I typically read. I’m more of a moody, angsty, type. Kristiana writes with such a strong aesthetic that I breezed through this on a half hour car ride. It reminded me of all of the reasons that as young girl I longed to visit the UK. I only wish I had saved it for early summer so that I could follow it up with a nap in my garden.

Every time I read Kristiana’s work–which is often, as an avid follower of her Instagram–I swoon at the way she creates emotional resonance through imagery. I had high expectations for Flowers on the Wall, and Kristiana exceeded them. Her command of language, especially in nature and body imagery, took me to another world. I found myself re-reading each poem multiple times just so I could breathe in her words for a bit longer. This collection is a masterpiece.
