Incredible story. I started out being really annoyed by the main character and I felt like that was exactly how I was supposed to feel about him. It was wonderful to be able to follow him on his journey of opening his eyes and realizing what truth is, and what really matters while here on earth.

This was an amazing book. One of the best books I read this year. It was very thought provoking and emotional. I loved the characters and the journey. I got this book from the library but I think I would like to add it to my own library.

This book is a beautiful emotional journey that will bring you to tears.

Much like the main character Merrill is an artist who weaves together the lives of multiple characters that come from different backgrounds and situations. In the forefront you have the slightly eccentric artist with a difficult childhood and his estranged aging father along with a young injured girl and the woman who finds herself responsible for her. Throughout the book the main characters lives are touched by many. Some are people who have a strong sense of self and spirituality and some have strong self-love.

It is amazing to look back at the story and see all of the different people that the artist’s path crossed. He has an agent that never quits, an old professor that remembered his talent, a former boss that has searched and found, a member of an animal rights group, a wise and talented elderly woman, and so many more. Each one not significant but put together a divine impact on the artists’ life and beliefs. In the end everything is brought together so smoothly you can see the fine orchestration of the one who holds us all in his hands.

At 480 pages it may seem a bit daunting. But once you pick up this book you will be reluctant to put it down. The emotions provoked and questions raised will keep you reading as fast as you can.

I didn't love this book until I got to the end and then I was very glad that I stuck with it and didn't give up reading. I found a beautiful gem of truth in this book that I'll always remember.

Thomas Hall is a fantasy artist with abilities unlike any other--and an ego unlike any other. He has it all, it seems--cars, a boat, a beautiful art studio, women. However, with the help of his trusted agent Frank Berger, Thomas gets wrapped into an unwanted job painting a mural of Jesus and his miracles. With unforeseen circumstances altering his well-balanced life, Thomas now has much more on the line. He gets caught in a situation including a disabled but faithful little girl, another job that tests his own faith, an estranged father, a SAVE THE SEALS extremist, and a special woman named Susan Cassidy. This is his journey with miracles. Ultimately, he must decide for himself what to believe, how to act, and if he is willing to forgive.
I enjoyed this book and rate it ⅘ stars because of its thought-provoking writing and realistic plot. It included many conflicts that made the book very interesting and captivating. It starts out confusing due to how the perspectives switch sometimes. Farther into the novel, however, every aspect comes together and complements other parts of the plot. Many of the characters experienced character development throughout the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes realistic fiction, especially to those who are religious. This book deals with God and different spiritual aspects that are enlightening while still being thoroughly enjoyable.
