This was a very interesting book! and it gave me a good list of movies and books to watch and compare in the future myself. I hadn't seen the movies or read a few of the books in a while, if ever. Very fun read.

I liked that each "chapter" was quite short but had both fun and important facts about the movies and books. Perfect for my friend and I - she loves movies (and listens to Lopez's podcast) and I love books, so we can both enjoy this.

3.5 stars. A fun romp through some novels that have been adapted for the big screen. Felt a little uneven - some entries had extensive remake/sequel information and some did not in surprising ways - and, as always, what do you include and what do you leave out?

I've seen a lot of movies, but I've read far fewer novels. Author Kristen Lopez's new book opened my eyes to some novels I definitely need to check out, in addition to some classic movies! Ultimately I believe that's the mission of a book like this; showcasing new titles that the reader might've missed. Lopez does a great job of selecting a range of titles from combinations like Clueless/Emma to more recent adaptations like Dune. It would make for a great gift for the film lover in your life. I know I definitely have to read Jurassic Park now!

(I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher)
