I'm getting bogged down in these 1630s books, and it may be time to take a break. My brilliant uncle read the entire series over a two month period when he was in bed with a knee replacement, and I'm starting to believe that way is the best method. I can't keep track of all the characters, and the names sound so familiar that I'm sure they were main characters in a previous book/story, and I just can't remember! I almost want to keep notes.

This book was several novellas, which seems to be Virginia DeMarce's style. They covered similar timelines, and each referenced events in each other as well as in The Dreeson Incident. I was ultimately unsatisfied because my favorite characters all died! Who ordered this?
