oppressive, bleak little book about children having to grow up too quickly when tragedy strikes. the powers that be do absolutely nothing to come to their aid, and thus our characters have to find a way to make it and fall into petty crime. the atmosphere and destruction of innocence (and sanity) is absolutely heart-breaking and beautifully written.

Bueno, esperaba un final de infarto honestamente jajaja

El inicio del libro promete y te hace pensar en varias teorías de lo que va a suceder. Luego llega un personaje que cambia la trama y se centra más en él que otra cosa y ya luego del 50% lo sentí un poco meh.

A short, melancholic coming-of-age story about an orphaned girl trying to figure out what her life will be. I only picked this up to fulfill a category in a reading challenge but I'm glad I did. I finished it in about an hour but I think it'll stay with me for a lot longer.

Really liked this book, even though I can't really put the finger on as to why. It's a short and quite easy to read book yet infused with the sense of more going on. Also the writing was very atmospherical which I enjoyed a lot.
