Very emotional, I was sobbing by the end. I loved this new addition to the Bayou series!

While this is a love story between Sera and Harry, this is also a story between the women in the family of Guidry and Beaumont. Celeste Beaumont is the matriarch of the Beaumont family and is a southern lady who lets her name, money, and status guide her morales, just as it has the family name for generations. Why am I mentioning Celeste when this is a love story about Sera and Harry? Celeste is the aunt of Harry and was also the mother of Wes the boy who was best friends of Sera before he passed away. This is something that Celeste blames Sera for even though she had nothing to do with his actual death, but the animosity of her lifelong friendship are just deeply harbored and her grief lashes out to anyone close.

But...once again...back to the story of Sera and Harry. Harry is in town for his cousin's wedding (Wes' sister, Angie). He didn't grow up in Louisiana and has rarely seen his cousins, so he doesn't exactly understand the dynamic of the small town or why anyone wouldn't like Sera Guidry. Anytime he's been around her, she is sweet, a hard worker, and a wonderful single mother. That last fact alone won't keep him away, no matter what the rumors are or what his family says.  He won't let his Aunt stand in his way of getting to know Sera better because something tells him she could be more and perhaps this small town could finally be home.

Sera struggles with letting Harry get close. She knows exactly how Celeste will react when she learns about Harry's feelings for her and she also knows how important family is. Sera doesn't want Harry choosing a life between her and his family. As much as Sera keeps trying to push him away, it's also difficult because Harry is amazing and pushing him away becomes basically impossible.

I love how this story isn't just about Harry and Seraphina, but also about Celeste and how she has had to overcome a lot of obstacles in her life.  I found myself going back and forth with Celeste where I didn't like her and then where I was sobbing for her. Her story is so powerful it really hit home with how women have had "deal" with social norms throughout time and I connected with her struggles so many times throughout the story. I appreciated how Lexi wove it in and how it made the overall story even more emotional and an intrical part of Seraphina's story.

Bayou Baby was so emotional, but such a great addition to Lexi's books I absolutely loved it.

I listened to the audiobook. I enjoyed the characters in the small bayou town of Papillion. There were lighthearted, witty, and funny moments. There were also many introspective moments as people worked to deal with there issues.

I liked Harry. I was on the fence about Sera for a while, and came to like her. I didn't like Celeste at all and didn't imagine I would. Yes, I was proven to be wrong about her. I was glad to see Harry and Sera be together.

There were a number of secrets being held in Butterfly Bayou, and as they started to be revealed, the healing began. Harry, Sera, Celeste and her two children all need up with their HEA in this book.

I absolutely loved reading Sera and Harry's story. There was a complicated past for Sera and trouble with Harry's family, but that didn't prevent them from falling for each other. Harry's aunt had amazing character growth and pieces of her interactions with Sera and others had me tearing up. Harry is a dream man and I wish I could find someone like him in real life because he is the total package. This was an amazing story and I'm eager to dive into the next one.

With the death of her aunt, Seraphina Guidry ends up with the run down Guidry house to revamp, but the only thing this single mother knows amount construction is what she has seen on HGTV. Contractor and new to the area, Harrison Jeffries is just the person she needs. An instant connection happens but will Sera be able to keep the secret she has been keeping from his family while at the same time staying involved with him? Lexi Blake has a unique way of storytelling that makes the reader feel like they are part of the family. With beautifully written characters and a storyline filled with heart and understanding this was a great read.

Such a sweet, sexy smalltown romance!

I loved Seraphine & Harrison's story - it captivated me from the first page to the last. These two were attracted to one another from the start but it took time, patience and a firm friendship before they (well, Sera mainly) felt comfortable in turning their attraction into a relationship. There is ongoing drama with Harry's aunt but I feel that this adds to the story and helps to round it out. I fell in love with the Butterfly Bayou series after reading book 1 and this book has only cemented my love for the series! I cannot wait for Zep's book!!

As y’all already know I am a huge Lexi Blake fan so I couldn’t wait to devour this book. As always Ms. Blake does not disappoint. The characters are all well written and easy to fall in love with. Seraphina (I love that name) is happy living in her little town. Sure things haven’t been perfect and she’s struggling a bit to find her place but she keeps trying. Her son could not be more adorable.

Harrison is just as easy to love although Celeste (his aunt) is a bit much. I do enjoy the way the story unfolds and Celeste becomes less of a hated character for me. I loved how Harrison accepted Celeste’s help but refused to give her complete control of his life. He’s a man who knows how to make his own decisions.

While Celeste doesn’t like Seraphina (Sera) we watch their history unfold and let me tell you there is plenty of drama. Harrison and Sera have a chemistry that is off the charts and he could care less about his aunt hating Sera. This one is full of family drama that will leave you breathless!
