A truly strange tale; the absurdity of the situation the narrator finds himself in just makes it all the more unsettling. With his usual skill, Strantzas manages to connect the story's undercurrent of familial regret and loss to the main narrative beats, the weird macguffin and the truly inexplicable characters who want it back. Reads almost like a Cohen Brothers film - a violent, absurd and melancholy black comedy I read from cover to cover.

Wonderful art by Yves Tourigny in this beautiful little chapbook from the awesome Dim Shores.
