um HELLO? One of the best books of all time??? Good Talk is a memoir told as a graphic novel about Mira Jacob’s experience growing up as a first generation Indian woman in America. I laughed so much and then suddenly I was crying … simply stunning and everyone should read it immediately

Wow. Adding Good Talk by Mira Jacob to my favorite books of 2021! I firmly believe this is a book everyone should give a chance. In a global climate where we are encouraging people to have tough conversations with friends, family, colleagues, this graphic novel is the perfect starting point for those conversations. This book is thought-provoking and heart-wrenching while still finding moments of humor. It is a reflection of America. It’s a reflection of the good and the ugly that occurs too frequently in our country.

I absolutely loved the art of this graphic novel!A mixed media of illustrations and photographs! I thought it beautifully highlighted the conversations Mira Jacob is holding throughout these pages.

Don’t wait so long like I did! Definitely pick this one up ASAP!
