okay very sad book and just such cognitive dissonance to be reading this during my party girl st. patrick’s weekend. listened to the audiobook and was really hooked on the plot. the writing and voice acting were good as well.

however, the romance plot and several parts of the book felt very unrealistic and embellished so I think that’s why this is a novel not a biography.

The story is amazing. A tale of love amidst the unimaginable horror of Auschwitz-Birkenau during World War 2. Doing what must be done to survive.
The writing could use some work. At times it felt super choppy and disconnected.
