Interesting story but the art is hit and miss.

I only really began to enjoy the story until issue #7 (this has 12 total) where the typical marvel humor really started to come through and the dialogue between the characters was definitely way more enjoyable.

My first Captain Marvel comic! The stories were all good and while I didn’t really like the artwork in the second half, the writing made up for it. Unexpectedly Carol was really funny and it was nice to see some Marvel characters I was already familiar with and meet new ones. Will continue this series.

DeConnick is in the upper quartile of comic book writers.

I loved Wendy and the rest of carol's support network, but this just didn't grab me the way some other books have.
