The adventures of Curious George...how hilariously sweet they are. In Curious George Rides a Bike, readers get to experience the charming misadventures of this incredible, little monkey.

My kids loved this story and so did I. George has won our hearts over in the best way.

I secured this title from my local library.

I loved the Curious George books when I was a kid... but reading this... the people who never got their newspapers are all not upset anymore once they see George as a star in the circus performance?! Uhhhhh... right. ...Among other problems along those lines...

In his third adventure, George disobeys the man, steals newspapers, litters, and nearly kills an ostrich. But he rescues a baby bear so all his misdemeanors are excused and everyone loves him again.

I found the image of the two men trying to pull a bugle out of the ostrich's throat very disturbing as a child. Still do.

One of my favorite childhood books. I made many newspaper boats when I was young, and now my kids follow in my footsteps

Read this to my youngest. I could see where they got a few of the ideas for the show on PBS but it was a bit different at the end with the circus. I don't recall that episode, but then again I haven't seen them all! LOL Fun book, fun characters that my kids are familiar with.

Another great Curious George story that Neo sat and enjoyed. On the third anniversary of his arrival from the jungle--can it have been that long?--George receives a bicycle as a present from the Man with the Yellow Hat. George agrees to stay close to home, but we all know that monkeys tend to opt for the fun things in life. After he agreed to help with the newsboy's paper route, George finds himself on an adventure. This leads to some bicycle issues, but worry not, a travelling animal show is there to save the day. With George set to be one of the star attractions, he gets into some mischief and finds himself benched from all the fun. However, as only George can, he redeems himself during a harrowing rescue of one animal in the show. Hooray for George and that darn bicycle, which came in quite handy after all. Neo quite enjoyed this piece and I know we will continue with our reading of this wonderful series, as often as Neo will allow!

When I was a kid, my brother really liked curious george but I wasn't really that into those stories. Revisiting those stories now that I'm an adult reminds me why. Curious George is like Tigger. He's an irresponsible jerk who doesn't care about the way he inconviences anyone else. Even as a kid, characters like that drove me nuts.
