Thank you to Rebecca Hefner for allowing me to listen to a copy of this book. I loved seeing Leo and having Kelani and Alrec show up. I missed their story since The Dawn of Peace, but the worth was worth it. And how this arc ended had me so excited for what comes next. Adelyn and Leo's story was wholesome, but it had the atmosphere of a travelling story. It fit them so much, and I'm so happy that I read this book. I cannot wait to read more from Rebecca Hefner and all future installments in this series.

Another Wonderful Read in the Series!

I have read this series in it's entirety and started off with the prequel, so to realise at the end of the previous book that we've met the MMC before had me raving like a fan girl, I was so happy.

I adored Leo and Addie's story! These two have intense and undeniable chemistry, along with a connected past/ background that binds them even closer together.

Leo is a stoic and grumpy hermit who has spent centuries on his own, away from a civilisation that has failed him more than once. Adelyn is optimistic, cheerful and chatty; and is determined to find out more about who she is when she stumbles upon our hero.

The story contains danger, humour, banter, spice, heartbreak and a hard won love between characters that come from very different places with very different perspectives. This opposites attract trope can be effortlessly devoured and adds its own magic to the series!

I was fortunate to receive a copy from Booksirens and willingly leave this honest review!

Every time we get a new book in the amazing Etherya’s Earth series, I swear this one is my favorite. They’re ALL my favorite, y’all. This series is the best! And I couldn’t get enough of Leo and Adelyn! Leo is the adopted son of Alrec and Kilani (they have a book in the prequel novella at the very start of the series. It’s free you should totally read it!!) and he had a very hard start to life. Adelyn is an aristocrat who is also adopted and wants to research her birth family. Because she has unusual purple eyes, she wonders if she could have nymph ancestry, but nymphs are just a legend and this will involve going to the wild parts of the kingdom alone. While there, she encounters a super grumpy mountain man = Leo and they have an adorbs meet cute. I seriously loved how the grumpy – sunshine vibe worked so well here. Leo is just aching for an Adelyn to sunshine up that grumpy cabin of his. And the sexual tension was off the charts! Some favorite moments included: beard teasing, sharing of adoption stories (the way the adoption theme and story arcs were worked throughout the book was so well done!) and Leo’s bond with his adoptive parents. Since Adelyn is from the city and Leo loves his cabin in the middle of nowhere, they have some things to work out and I loved watching them find their HEA. Also… there are some great revelations at the end that have me so excited for what’s to come in the series! 5/5 stars.
