I LOVE this book! Mary has style and makes sure her classmates do too; but when disaster strikes on the playground, Mary's not afraid to ditch her fashion for some fun! I thought this book was so much fun, a total delight to read. The rhyme scheme is great and the illustrations are fabulous.

Cute rhyming text. I like that Mary is a person of color. Illustrations were very appealing and eye-catching.

Engaging illustrations, rhyming text, and a fashionistas sensibility will, I suspect, make this Mary a hit with my patrons.

This is a really fun retelling of a well known nursery rhyme that absolutely glams it up! I really enjoyed the spin on the well known rhyme and the message at the end of the story.

This is such a cute book for children! I love that Mary shares her style with others, but then they get to help each other get over a fashion hurdle. I LOVE that Mary is a little Black girl in this story. She's fun and fashionable and strong and independent.
