This book was just OK. The good: I loved that the heroine was always the smartest person in the room. I loved that the hero was supportive of her goals. But the pacing...oy. The book dragged and felt very repetitive at times (they travel, they see the sights, they eat, they do it all over again). Then the resolution that resulted in the HEA—oh boy. It was ridiculously over-the-top.

I received an eARC from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Fascinating romance novel and great addition to the series.
The story of Augusta Vivers, the next of Matt’s sisters... the first half of the book follows a fairly typical English coming out and early Season, but the social butterfly / bluestocking Augusta is too set on going to university to see what’s right in front of her, and her would-be beau follows her to Europe... where the second half of the book takes you across Europe in the 19th century before resolving the story in surprising ways in the last 60 pages...
Very good romance story with little steaminess/ mild scenes and a satisfying ending that you won’t quite predict.

*book was received as a goodreads giveaway, but opinions are my own.

I really wanted to like this book, but once I got into it, I realized there was nothing to it. No chemistry, no passion, no interesting plot. Nothing. I felt like the leads didn’t have enough scenes together and the ones they did, felt like they were two platonic friends just going places together. There was no tension or build. The whole thing was just blah. Then when the action picks up at the very end, it just happens out of nowhere. The whole book was just not well paced. It also annoyed the hell out of me that every single man she met in every different country instantly fell in love with her.

Simply put, this book was incredibly boring and the romantic leads had zero chemistry.
