I guess smart people romance is not the genre for me. I struggled to get through the interview part of the book. The second part came way too quickly and too intense. Like, dear god woman, go to the bathroom after sex before you get a yeast infection. And the end of the epilogue was a let down. I literally thought she was going to ask him to marry her or tell him she was pregnant or something. Not that I want her to be pregnant, I don’t think it would fit the story. But that’s the kind of build up that was put in to the epilogue. I’ll not be reading any more smart people romance after this trainwreck in my brain. It literally made me feel like this could have been a good book but then someone took a thesaurus to it in the edit and made it worse. I mean, seriously, who uses incongruous 3 times in the first 3 chapters. It reads pretentious and I’m over it.

İçim yumuş yumuş oldu. Jack inanılmaz green flag bir karakterdi. 120. sayfadan kendisine aşık oldum. Evet elsie’nin problemleri vardı ama birlikte çözmeleri çok tatlıydı.

Personally, I felt very called out by Elsie reading this book was kind of like a really long and embarrassing/emotional therapy session. I do feel better having read it, I feel like I learned a lot from the weird nerdy tidbits throughout the book, (which I loved) and also from how this book made me reflect on myself. I loved it.
