Emily Hayes knew she needed to leave her home in Wisconsin if she wanted to find happiness. It wasn't that she didn't love her family or friends, but as a preacher's daughter the expectation to do right all the time was wearing. Moving to Arizona, Emily quickly finds herself enjoying her new life and teaching position.

Xander knew Emily was going to be trouble. Emily is innocent, beautiful, and so far out of his league. Xander is jaded, determined to stay that way, and unable to keep away from Emily. The only girl he cherishes is his own daughter, but Emily is quickly find a way to nestle herself into his heart. Xander tries to push Emily, but it backfires in a hard way. Can they wither the storm that is brewing between them?

Fantastic read. It was intense and you never deny the feelings each other have, but it is hard to trust when you have been burned. Emily I never felt was naive, but she is so sweet it makes it harder when she gets hurt. Look forward to more in this series.
