Josephine is Wells Whittaker’s biggest fan even though his golf game has not been what it used to be, she won’t desert him, until he decides to quit and push her away.  After a hurricane comes through and destroys her family’s shop, he finds himself wanting to win her back. Since she won’t just take his money, he hires her as his caddy. So now all he has to do is win again so that she gets her share of the prize money and can live her dreams. Because after being such a jerk to her, he just wants to make her dreams come true.

It was an enjoyable lighthearted read. I don't understand much of golf so certain things flew over my head. However, I don't think it took away from the story. The characters were funny and it was nice to see them grow, especially Wells.
The rebuilding of a shop in two-three weeks was unrealistic as hell but fiction, I guess.

[Thank you to the publisher and Libro.fm for providing me with an ALC!]

Rating: 4.5/5 stars

Josephine Doyle is Wells Whitaker’s biggest fan…and then she becomes his caddy in his attempted comeback on the PGA Tour.

I enjoyed this one so much! I never expected that golf could be a particularly sexy or romantic sport, but Tessa Bailey absolutely proved me wrong. Wells is a GEM, and the he-falls-first energy was so strong here. I absolutely melted for how much he cared for Josephine, and all the gestures large and small that helped show her that she was loved. The chronic illness (diabetes) rep was also great to see. I’m also a sucker for great banter, and this one had that in spades.

As a fun little bonus, I was born in Augusta, Georgia, so all the references to the Masters and the scenes there were a nice treat! Highly recommend.

CW: Chronic illness/disability; some mild violence; mild injury detail; mild sexism

Really enjoyable fun romance. The grumpy sunshine dynamic was fun and didn’t feel one sided or forced
