This is one of those "James Patterson" books that was very much not written by James Patterson but he has a writing credit anyway, and it shows. Despite my aversion to that whole drama, I mostly enjoyed the book and the characters. It certainly wasn't anything I haven't read before, but it was fun to watch it play out and it was interesting enough to finish despite not moving any mountains. It's pretty standard teen drama fare, but for what it was, it was a solid read.

As usual, J.Patterson did not disappoint. I will admit that it took me a chapter or two to get into the story. I almost returned the audiobook to my local library, but I'm glad I didn't.

It's a good book for young adults. It is a light thriller, and you will enjoy it every step of the way.

This book needs a trigger warning—I couldn’t believe how they ended it with the reveal that her father was raping and sexually abusing her, when there was nothing about that anywhere else. I also thought the story fell flat.

Very quick teen read about 4 kids getting expelled from high school. Several of them claim innocence, but are they?
This is a quirky, but also sad, tale of what happens when people are put into a situation where things aren't going well - and how they take matters into their own hands.
I liked the references to The Breakfast Club, and also the characters in the book. They were a misfit group, and it was fun to see how they interacted with each other, and the outcome of their situation.

Listened to the audiobook. It was fine but not compelling to finish.

I have been enjoying James Pattersons young adult stories and this didn’t disappoint either. It’s a brilliant story with similar ties to The Breakfast Club. Theo is the main character and got expelled from his school by being framed for posting a photo. He is determined to prove his innocence. However, he is not the only pupil to be have been expelled…
As the expelled group come together with thanks to Theo for his determination to prove they’re all innocent, they become a mixed group of unlikely friends.. Nevertheless, along the way there are plenty of secrets and lies unfolded… Some pupils are guilty, some arn’t. Each have their own reasons for what they have done. Who’s innocent? Who’s guilty? Does Theo ever prove his innocence?
I really enjoyed this one… It’s not a death story but still a ‘who dunnit?’ story. Easy reading. Short chapters. Brilliant co-written with Emily. A well deserved four stars from me. Highly recommend.
