This is a collection of the 7 issues of The Untamed. Only the first 4 have been released by Empire. Not good enough to pay for the final 3.

Was excited to dive into this one. Love the concept and artwork of Niobe World. The overarching themes and storyline are pretty interesting as well, but I think I ultimately found it a little difficult to read. It was hard to follow the panels/story at points, and it sometimes felt a bit jumbled.

I happen to have Niobe and will still be giving that a read. Hoping that it doesn't feel quite as rushed. It feels as if they wouldhave slowed the pace; it would have read clearer.

A small note to those trying to buy physical versions: I have had my copy less than a year, and while I was reading it, the binding came off the cover (something that has NEVER happened to my books.) So either be uber gentle or maybe just opt for the e-version.

I'm new to the world of Graphic Novels, and going totally on online recommendations. I've previously read Saga and The Wicked + The Divine and loved them both. This, unfortunately I just couldn't follow. When the vast majority of the people in it are dark silhouettes or wearing dark hooded robes it makes it REALLY difficult to tell who is actually doing what. I could tell that there was suppost to be some small visual clues to help, but trying to pick them out was awkward and broke the flow for me.

I got several "days" into the story, was still totally lost as to what was going on and gave up :(

I came across this because my favourite illustrator, Peter Bergting, was one the persons involved in the project. I had never heard of any of the others involved before but I've come to understand they are good at what they do.
So when I read about the project I decided to take part in their kickstarter-campaign and I received it both in electronic format and as a book. I said to myself I should wait until I receive the physical book but I couldn't and I am glad I didn't.
The art is dark, beautiful and inspiring and the combination of words and pictures creates magic on the pages. Had to flip back a couple of times just to enjoy some of the great art and pause to process all aspects of what is written.

After receiving the physical book I had to re-read it and decided to up my rating to five instead of four. This book is so beautiful and interesting. I am proud to own this!
