Was a bit disappointed that these interviews span the past twenty or so years vs being more recent as much has changed in many of the regions Prof Chomsky speaks about. Certainly there is still much knowledge to be gleaned from his insights despite their being older as unfortunately... much does not change.

Still, given that there are many more contemporary books by Prof Chomsky to choose from I would seek one of those (Who Rules The World? being the most recent).

With current events, Chomsky as a leftist, academic and activist is just the kind of thinker we need right now.
In quite a brief series of interviews, David Barsamian managed to garner his perspective on a breadth of international issues and struggles against dominant power, featuring Chomsky's signature incisive criticism of imperialism and neoliberalism.

Good scope of topics covered, variety of countries.
Focused on current events of 5 years ago, as to be expected. Certainly opened my eyes to lots of issues, could have used a bit more context for others
Overall learned a lot

The Roots of Conflicts

An excellent array of topics covered here by David Barsamian.

He asks interesting questions to Chomsky, bringing out some fascinating insights that will have readers searching the sources at the back for further reading.

A worthy note worth adding, there's a small section that breaks down the Syrian conflict into manageable bites. I'd argue this makes this a worthy read unto itself.
