What I Did Like:
-The various authors here each take a character affected by that day. They do an AMAZING job. In my opinion every one of these stories is well written. If I had to individually rate them they rank from a 3.5 to a 4.5 star rating, which means they’re very close in quality. It paints a picture of the event when you view them as a whole, but they tell 17 very different stories.
-This doesn’t look at that day. I loved that. The puzzle of putting together a clear picture of the shooter as well as how these characters all related made this a book you had to focus on and THINK through. Very smart writing.
-Powerful. This book connects people by single events. It shows that we all have threads of other people connecting us and moving through us.

Who Should Read This One:
-Readers who can handle dark subject matter and want to view a tough topic through different lenses will like this one.
-Readers who like stories where characters are being forced to analyze their relationships and decisions after a dark event will like this one.

My Rating: 4 Stars. This one was a brilliant collection of stories by a group of talented writers. It will definitely appeal to readers who are intrigued by the subject matter.

This book's seventeen stories each gave detailed, well-crafted, subtly connected insights into the character of Kirby; it did a lovely job of fulfilling its purpose.

This is the fictional account of a teenaged mass shooter told in seventeen short stories, each written by a different author, and all told from a different point of view. Each voice had a different piece of the unsolvable puzzle that was the shooter. There is so much talent in this collection. In a collection of seventeen stories you would expect one or two duds, but every single story here is fantastic. SO GOOD.

One of the most interesting writing styles that I have read for my own personal enjoyment. I really enjoyed seeing how one event affected some many people lives.

This was a really causal read for me, but I enjoyed every single moment. When I found my way back to the book I would easily be locked in, and at times I would sit with my mouth open trying to connect plot point to the different chapters.

This was an excellent collection of short stories. Instead of recounting the tale of how the school shooting occurred, this follows several perspectives on the shooter, Kirby. This was heartbreaking and real. There were several stories I didn't enjoy and so that's why it's not a 5 star read, but I highly recommend it because of the variety of authors displayed in this.

This book was truly heartbreaking to read but it was the realty of the world today. I enjoyed the different perspectives, it added to more of the heartbreaking.
