This is a beautiful and witty book that examines and celebrates a truly beloved show. It's a very quick read and a must for Doctor Who fans. It will make you want to rewatch the show, and you will see the Doctor and companions in a new light. (less)

I really enjoyed that, unlike most doctor who media, there was no infighting and punching down in this little book. All eras of nuwho were held lovingly, and their quietly brilliant facets held to the light.

Having said that, I feel as though this was a very surface level reading of the show, and it would have been nice to engage a little more critically with it, eco we as a falcon don't seem to be very good at unless we're shitting on each others favourite doctors...

The book was fine, but not quite as meaty as I had hoped. Most of the observations felt like quite light reflections you would have after watching all of the 2005+ Doctor Who series and being given the prompt to reflect on how the series treats the mundane. I was hoping to see insights and connections that were unusual or hard to reach in some way.
