This book was different as there were also tears shed along with the tense and LOL moments.
By now anyone who has read the series is fully immersed and invested into the characters and The Temple Chronicles, with this book Shayne Silvers hits us hard with everything. I love how Nate is meeting and making new friends whether they want to be or not, but he really needs them by the end of the book.
worst thing about this book ... I still have no idea about Mallory!

Great fun but....

I am getting tired of Nate losing his powers. I get it, he's got to be knocked down, blah, blah, but it's starting to feel crutchy. Still love the books though

There is a ton of action in this one and I really felt the hopelessness that Nate felt throughout this book. I did not expect Indie to die nor to come back as a Grimm. I am not 100% for Nate and Indie but that is because I read the first two books of the Feathers and Fire series first before I realized there were two other series involved. I still think she is a liability even though now she is a freak like the rest of them. Nate is obviously on the path to become a horseman. Gunnar reminds me of Odin with only one eye now. Alucard is now a vamp friend. The grandmaster will be gunning for Nate. It would be interesting if they aren't always about to die in the books. We shall see where the series goes.

I cried

When I'm reading I don't always like the writing style, the characters more than make up for that for me. They come to life for me and I get caught up in the stories.

W H A T! I don't even know how to feel. I feel like I've been gobsmacked! The last part of the book was like riding a roller coaster on its way down from the top. I want to whoop and cry and spin about pumping my fists in the air! Well done, Shayne Silvers, well done indeed!

I didn't hate this book, but I just couldn't get into it as much as the first two.
I did enjoy Nate's increase in power and trickery towards the end though. So I'm planning to keeping going with this series.

Really good series.

Bloody cracking book this. A good paced story, plenty of action, death and violence. I'm really enjoying this series and I cant wait to read what happens next.

I read book three hoping for a better interaction with the series than I've had so far with books 1 & 2. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. Between Nate's childish antics and HUGE blind spots when something is so very obvious, it's just a frustrating read. It's very disappointing because I'm looking to find a new go to series. I guess the hunt continues!
