Short and sweet. My heart grew several sizes during the Kaneki and Hide one.
I love the extra content, almost wish it was longer.

An enjoyable series of vignettes/short stories with the major characters of Tokyo Ghoul.

I can’t really anything for this light novel that I didn’t say for the others. I absolutely loved these mini novelisations of events in the Tokyo Ghoul universe. What I especially loved about this collection was that they revolved much more closely around events that we hear about or actually see in the Tokyo Ghoul manga but are explored more deeply here.
I think my favourite of the stories was Solitary Reading, which is a short story that explores Kaneki’s life before Kamii and his relationship with his mother’s sister whilst living with her after his mother’s death. I feel like the relationship between Hide and Kaneki is at its most heartfelt during this story. Besides that I also loved Matching Femme Fatale.
I’m really sad that this is the last in the series as I would absolutely love to read more of these as it adds such a richness to the world and characters of Tokyo Ghoul.
