I found the main character Bontle annoying, endearing, and likeable. Which is very hard to accomplish.

Besides that, the book disappointed me. It turned into a cautionary tale and was very dramatic.

I really enjoyed Bontle’s story and the sordid world of blessers and blessees. There are some dark undercurrents in this book and brilliant moments of ridiculous wit which made me laugh.
