Really liked this book, there is a huge amount in it, it's a little slow paced but deals with life, growing up, identity and loss amazingly. Checkout my full review here:

I definitely loved this book more than Aristotle and Dante. The Silva family warmed my heart. The losses hurt a lot. Sam and Fito were such great characters. I recommend.

I refuse to support a transphobic author. Some sentences made so mad. I thought an author from the LGBTQ community would do better. One star from me for that.

To my initial thoughts:
Idk, it certainly feels like a slice of life book, so I think enthusiasts of that genre would love this.
I personally found it really boring. It didn't hook me and as my attention span is *short*, I couldn't finish it. I literally only started it because of a friend lmao.

Sáenz writes characters I wish were real people. That's what I love most about his books. This one focuses on the importance of family, friendship, and forgiveness as Salvador, the main character, is figuring out who he's going to become.

DNF. I read half of this book and not once did I care about what happened to the characters. Sal was boring, Sam was irritating, and they were really problematic. And the writing was so pretentious that I can't read one chapter without sighing deeply and rolling my eyes.

I can't.
