so bored! tbh though i couldn't give a shit about keras, i'm forever obsessed with corin. but the fights, as always, were excellent. the ending promises more action in the later books!!

Just not enough...

Not enough world building, not enough RPG elements, not enough humor, not enough tension.

Amazing trek through the eyes of a different hero from the arcane ascension series. Rowe does a fantastic job at writing a semi overpowered character. The scenes were written entertainingly and had his usual brand of humor. Can’t wait to read more from this series!

Absolutely love this series, lighthearted and fast paced. It made me laugh out loud so many times that I'm pretty sure the people around me thought I was crazy. 😂

Please read this blurb before reading the book. I believe the "plot or character driven?" percentage scale is heavily skewed towards the wrong direction. This book is VERY HEAVILY character-driven, especially the 1st half, and it really needs to be recognized before someone gets the wrong assumption. I can easily explain the plot of the 1st half of the book in 10 words or less because the characters are being heavily built over the plot. And while the 2nd half does introduce more plot than the 1st, I do not believe the story is driven through that plot without having the characters being the main focus to the reader beforehand and while continuing on through that 2nd half. Thank you for your time.
