A fun romp, much like his other works. A bit less world-building here, probably because the author assumes (likely rightly) that you've read his other books set in the same world. But I continue to be impressed at how the magic system is both the same and yet subtly different in each of his series, showing a diversity of training and philosophy that is very interesting to consider and see how they stack up.
