I have never been a Devil-Slayer fan, so I can't say much about this reboot compared to the title that went before it.
However, the story presented in Dead of Night is a tightly written and enjoyable one. The Devil-Slayer is a character that you cam imagine existing. He's thrust into responsibilities about which he had no idea. He has personal demons and flaws.
I'll be keeping an eye open for Keene's other comics work.
