The Lady Vanishes was a dull tome! Honestly the Hitchcock film and plot was much better! But I loved The Spiral Staircase a great page turning thriller,

If you're looking for a classic, like suspenseful thrillers and gripping mysteries then this is the book to read. This book is two stories in one and both are fantastic. They each have a gripping build up with a satisfying ending. A brilliant page turner, I could not put it down.

I'm so glad I've finished this book. The first story, The Lady Vanishes was enjoyable even though I think the film is so much better but the second story, The Spiral Staircase was so boring.
