Yes!!

A very enjoyable book with hilarious characters and plenty of heat. I was annoyed a few times, but mainly because she made silly choices and didn’t really listen. Girl...:

This is the second book I've read of this series in very short periods of time. I like Aisling as a character, but she is deeply flawed. To the point of calling her kletsy and falling into a world of otherworldly creatures - dragons, guardians, demons which which leads to her getting in all sorts of trouble. This is the formula for which these books are clearly written. But that doesn't make them bad. Doesn't make them boring. She gets into trouble and then has to find a way out of it. Usually we have murders. Usually we have some sort of committee telling her that she's not doing her job. My biggest problem with this book was actually that she got called for her past mistakes without really having any way to defend herself against them and I found that that was really off base for this book. Specifically. There's a lot of spice in this book. If you like spice this one is the one for you. I would say it's three out of five spices versus the probably two spices in the last book. But we are on the same formula. We've got Renee who's come back. She's found a really annoying virgin partner and of course we have Jim the demon to all help her through this trouble that she's got herself into. I understand that she's got to have a job that takes her to these places but it seems completely inane to have it at all. But either way, light read, beach read, chic-lit, this is all what you're looking for. We've got murders. We've got dragons. We've got spice. We've got Aisling.

Spoiler This is my thoughts, not really a review but a ramble of my feelings. Lets talk about our feelings *blush* there's some spoilers here so don't read if you haven't read the book yet, it'll tell you nothing of whether you would like it or not. Just how i thought about the characters.

Sooooo....

Aisling, you pooor woman. Why you always being framed for murder? I love how all the clues were laid out and shown in this book, and they all made sense at the end, and it was like a big aaaah moment. I was too stupid to take a guess beforehand tho. I reallly love that i have no clue what's going to happen, and that it's a mystery.

Rene, you are the bomb.com like I love you you're such a good friend and Jim you're a big loveable dog I'd adopt you as my demon in a heart beat. But Draaaaaake......why? you suck man-dragon...wait he's a wyvern...you wyvern beast. Whyyyyyy? I felt so bad for Aisling, like she put her love and trust into him and he couldn't even support her? Maybe that's naivety on her part for jumping into his arms as soon as he says a 'i'll not interfere' with the Guardian business but she went to him because she wanted to be with him and didn't want to fight and saw a future. And I can see the potential for his character if he stopped treating her like a possession and like someone he cares about, and I do think he cares about her, but it's just annoying to have to watch him disappoint her and be so selfish. I really wanted to slap him in the face with a book, preferably one that says 'the dummies guide to women'.

Team Aisling right now, and praying Drake picks up his game in the next book or else ill be very displeased.
