This book contains a good selection of well written stories by different authors. Some new to me along side a few of my go to authors. Each of these short stories pulls the reader in and keeps you engaged until the end. You will find dragons, demons, time travel and many things in between. The authors do a good job of mixing the action and romance. I especially enjoyed the story Her Masks by Rebecca Royce where a strong young lady finds her strength and escapes her confinement and seek the three men she loves. Love proves to be stronger than the evil trying to keep them apart and I enjoyed seeing them fight for their happy ever after. I enjoy stories with heat and darkness and this collection proved to be a nice read.

This story is so good, with powerful characters that you what to know more about.
It's s a different version of dragons - they are re humans who can transform themselves into dragon (how cool is that!?).
I can wait to know more about this character, I'm in love with them.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Overall the whole anthology was average for me. There were obviously some that I enjoyed far more than others.

To me, it was a nice palate cleanser at the end of the day to get my mind off year end chaos at work. I haven't read 90% of the authors and some of the works I definitely would not have chosen to read on my own as they are not to my taste, but still somewhat enjoyable overall.

I read Skyler Andra's Resting Witch Face. I loved getting more of her characters from her Guild of Guardians series. This novella feels pretty necessary to the overall plot of the series because the relationships between the character changes dramatically. Not only do they become closer as a team and start to deal with some issues from the past, but the MMCs are finally all starting to warm up to the FMC. It's a great, short read, chock full of steam. If you are reading the Guild of Guardians series, make sure you don't miss this novella.

Only read Demon Stalked, book 1.5 in Ann Denton & Katie May’s “Darkest Flames” series.

My opinion is mostly the same I had with the first book in the series: you can tell which part is written by each author, and my open dislike for anything Katie May writes definitely affects my overall enjoyment of the story in a negative way. But I still want to read more of it. Just wish it was only Denton writing it.
