This is one of my favorite “get back into reading” books. It’s an easy read, it’s got mystery and plot twists that keep you engaged. And it’s young adult in NYC with drama and romance and gossip. Love love love this book! Definitely one of my top OG favorites.

The book had a good amount of suspense to it and it always had me guessing as to who the killer was. In the end, it's not who you expect.

1. Days read: June 15-22, 2015
2. Theme of the book: Not to underestimate anyone, especially if you don’t know their life story because anyone can do anything.
3. Quote from the book and its meaning: “They don’t listen”, Scott bellowed in her ear. “NOBODY LISTENS.” This quote is significant because it’s showing that no matter how loud he yelled, no one ever listened to him.
4. I would recommend this novel to others because the amount of suspense in the story is enough to keep you on the edge of your seat, and just when you think you may know the killer, something happens, and you’re back at square one.

It was him all this time?! It kind of makes sense for his sister's death, but killing people isn't the answer! He wanted revenge, but by death?! What....? He knew everything that Kirsten was going through because she told him. She thought she could trust him. This is the reason why I don't trust easily.

I guess it was a little predictable to me because I guessed the killer right. The whole time I thought I was going to be wrong though.

I kind of had a few theories on who the killer was, but I was constantly surprised by the new information & the twists that the author had! Soooo good.

I called the killer from way back but it was a enjoyable ride even knowing and I didn't guess the reasons so. But so, so obvious. And my, was the lead stupid.

It's the type of book that you can spend reading into the night (and sometimes into the early morning). the author captures the reader from the very beginning and throws so many plot twists that leave you speechless. it's one of the first mystery/thrillers I've read and wow has it changed my perspective on them.

I enjoyed this book a lot and the story was pretty good to follow and intrigued me a lot to keep reading. The characters were good I enjoyed reading about Kirsten's adventure. It taking place in Manhattan also made it more interesting to me since I am from NY.
