Loved this book, especially the twists of autobiography that crept in half way

Beautiful essays, in a beautiful book on nature and people and how they often awkwardly intertwine.

I really enjoyed this little collection of essays. I love the exploration of creative non-fiction. So many beautiful little snippets, and stories that have stuck with me since my very first read through.

One of the best collection of essays I've read. The writing is beautiful, and the subject is unique and captivating.

This is labelled as an essay collection, however it reads more like narritive poetry. Regardless of the synopsis, these are only very loosely connected to trees.

I'm not sure if I would have enjoyed this more if I had gone in with the correct expectations, as it is I feel like the synopsis was very misleading on the content of this collection.

I also really didn't like the running theme of fatphobia that is present and never addressed. So while this wasn't the worst thing I've read, it was not enjoyable and it was not what it claimed to be in my opinion.

I really enjoyed this essay collection. I'm not generally a reader of essay collections, or short stories, but this is making me think I need to change that. Small potent enjoyable ponderings of various tree related ideas that went very well with my camping trip. Highly recommend.
