This seems a lesser play than some of Bernhard's others. Still, I'm glad our interlibrary loan system tracked it down for me. It's still funny, still dark, still pessimistic, and it was fun to see Bernhard play with some different types of characters. Circus performers, as it turns out. Who'd have thought?
