Appropriately named, this volume features a series of battles, many of which contain unfamiliar characters whose allegiance you don't know battling to the death with other umfamiliar characters. Occassionally, they'll have someone tell you their eneitre life history during a battle so that you're supposed to feel something for this previously nameless background character who immediately dies.

There are some great moments bookending this volume, but the middle is just battle after battle of people I've been given no reason to care about.

I'll be glad when this series returns to the main characters.
