"But no one fights a lone battle in my town. Especially Strange. He's helped me out a lot lately, and I owe him better than that."
"I'm lost in time. Caught between what was, what is, and what may be. Caught between moments. Caught between possibilities. With the potential to change it all."
Packed full of characters- the Avengers, Fantastic Four and an array of Spidey's past villains as he and Doctor Strange travel through time and space to stop Dormammu!
Poor Spidey goes through it all in this one, seeing his beginning and his end and having to relieve the most difficult moments of his life to get back and save the world. He has to meet old foes and play out the same fights, reliving his failures and the deaths of those close to him. He's exhausted and plagued by the weight of responsibility, all the chances he's given people, all those he saved, making a difference. I'm just glad Strange was with him to help him pull through the worst of it and show him just how much good he has down, how many lives he has saved.
The ending was so sweet, Strange's gift to Spidey was so touching.
Also enjoyed the extra story of one of Spidey and Strange's first interactions/team up again Mordo and his minions.

the last 2 or 3 issues of this volume were some of the first comics I ever read - I read them out of order, with little context, but I loved them. it was cool to reapproach them now, with a lot more knowledge of the story and characters.

Another great volume. I really like the JMS take on Dr. Strange. He pairs well with Spider-man. I'm subtracting a star for the super-tailor story.

50% of this book had action, and a nice amount of cameo appearances of other heroes. Not too much Aunt May/MJ drama which really makes Spidey books boring.

I actually really loved the trip back in time and the nods to Peter's previous battles, especially because I've been reading some backlist Spider-Man stuff as well. And the story about the super hero/villain Taylor was a nice touch. Overall, not a badly paced volume for Spider-Man.
