MIND. BLOWN. Proof that you don't need to be a fan of sports to fall completely in love with a sports book. Absolutely excellent. So much tension, excitement, and a final football battle that had me gripping my eReader with white knuckles. Seriously. I was stunned. Scott Sigler is the master of intensity, and I don't know how he can top this for the final novel. A thrill ride from start to finish. What an ending. Wow. Seriously guys, I don't care if you hate football. READ THIS SERIES!!!

American Football in space. Sci Fi with low barriers to entry, for those moments when you want it low brow.

1) Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

2) Genre: Science Fiction

3) Synopsis: Quentin Barnes is a starting quarterback in the GFL. His ultimate goal is winning the championship and nothing is going to get in his way. Can he do it?

4) Feelings: I love this series. I usually listen to these on podiobooks but I couldn't wait for the audio to be released. Even more so after the cliffhanger at the end of the last book. Who wouldn't love football + aliens?

5) Final recommendation: This is a wonderful series. This is the 4th book in the series so don't start here. Go back to 'The Rookie.' but go and read it. If you like football read it. If you like aliens read it. Seriously go and read it.

Awfully similar to book three. And book two. And book one.

Another action-packed book in the series. Scott Sigler does an amazing job of bringing the fully-formed world of his own creation to life in his audio podcast and I look forward to every new installment. In addition to exciting story lines, The MVP is full of well-developed characters with, at times, complex relationships. He has also improved my understanding of and enthusiasm for football and subsequently my enjoyment of twenty-first century American Pro Football. Thanks Mr. Sigler!

The GFL she series just gets better and better. I have been waiting for this story since I started rooting for the Krakens. It looks like the FDO can't stop piling the hurt on QB, though.

I'm still a little blown away by the excitement of the ,'87 season.

As a long time fan of both Sigler and the GFL, I have been having a lot of fun listening to the podcast edition of this, the fourth book in the Galactic Football League series.

The story follows Quentin Barnes and the Ionath Krakens as they overcome obstacles of all shapes and sizes, from war-mongering aliens to love triangles while chasing Galactic Championship rings.

Sigler's writing is, as usual, fast, descriptive, funny, action packed, and appropriately vivid.

In other words, it's a good book. It's also worth noting that this is an all-ages appropriate book (the first volume, The Rookie, has a non-kid friendly version); Scott Sigler and his staff are actively chasing the educational market, hoping to put this book in the hands of kids who might not otherwise be into reading, which, in itself, makes this a worthwhile book.

Book four and these characters are my family. These are friends you would go to war with, whether on a football field or against a whole species.
Scott deftly addresses mental health, racism, goal setting, and even the odd feelings of young love, all while sentients are battling for their lives. He truly is a master storyteller.
