A super fun, quick paced book! I loved the setting and time period of the book. The main cast of characters were all very enjoyable.

The art in this one is the stand out- really unique, amazing colour palette, and I found the characters really expressive.

I liked the story, and the ultimate themes of censorship, fighting injustice, working together, seeking truth, etc. I think for me, I got a bit lost in the terminology and history- and felt it maybe was a bit too much for a short graphic novel? I liked the general story, but felt I skimmed some of the historical type references, as it just didn’t explain them enough for me to get into them…

I previewed this for my middle-grade students, and I feel like there’s a group that will really enjoy this one. It will need a more mature, advanced reader.

Big props for ethnic diversity and disability representation! The illustrations are rich and lush, and readers can learn a lot about civics and how governments change from the story. It's not didactic at all -- with so much adventure, kids will barely notice that they are learning.

It’s beautifully illustrated, but the story is very simplistic and not very compelling
