A fun read that surprises you by occasionally punching you in the heart. I would recommend this graphic novel if you're a fan of the show and you're feeling nostalgic as it matches the tone of tv series to a tee If not, this likely isn't be for you.

Not as good as volume 4 (not having Ice King's history means it lost a bit of the emotional punch), but still a great romp! I also loved the team of Princess Bubblegum and Marceline that was featured throughout.

The second volume of the Adventure Time graphic novels was just as pleasant as the first - in fact I enjoyed the story of this one as it involves time travel! Not much to say except that I love how cute and zany the world of Adventure Time is.

Love Marceline and PB adventures! And honestly, I ship it. They would make such a good couple!

Generally, I like these books as an aside to the show, but the green type as a footnote at the bottom of nearly every page is not only hard on the eyes, but in general, not funny. I suppose that's my only gripe with these books. It was good in one volume, but kind of annoying to have to read in every volume as I don't feel it really adds to the story or mood of what's going on.

Just a quick review of this, as it's pretty similar to all the previous volumes.
Familiar characters dominate the stories as usual, including Jake, Finn, BMO, Princess Bubblegum, Ice King, Marceline and even Lemongrab. The relationships between the characters are nice in this, especially regarding PB and Marceline.
The stories are funny, weird and super enjoyable, full of humour and colour and adventure (duh). The fourth wall is, of course, practically nonexistent, as the commentary along the bottom of the pages addresses the audience directly. It really immerses you in the world of Finn and Jake, as well as adding another layer of humour. The commentary makes these comics unique from most others.
The art is awesome. I still love looking through the gallery of covers at the end. The colours are so vivid and the styles are all so wonderful. It's one of the nicest comics to just look at.
Of course, it is kinda childish. But it's an easy and relaxing read, and there are some very subtle jokes and comments that only older readers will understand.
