Embora dotadas de alguma da loucura que faz de A&A um mimo, não há aqui material que justifique uma trade.

Apreciou-se particularmente a passagem alusiva ao Happy Meal.

While the panel-to-panel writing in this series leaves a bit to be desired, the story concept and the overall plot are a blast. A child raised in a cult is sent out to assassinate an immortal, only to befriend him and begin battling The One Percent.

There are some goofy National Treasure style hijinks, and the pacing is sometimes waaaaaaaaaaaaay off. But, overall, it's a fun story, and I'm curious if it will ever find its groove.

Even more ridiculous and weirdly paced than the previous volume, this twisting adventure with Archer, Armstrong, Armstrong's also immortal brother Gilad, and a new geomancer, has more holes and deus ex machinas than a Stephen King novel. It's eye-rollingly ridiculous. But it's also still fun, and not appearing to take itself any more seriously than the reader should.

This book almost gets four stars for audacity of concept. It's occasionally funny, the art is excellent, and the story appears more focused in its madness than the previous two volumes. Unfortunately, it gets undone by some klunky cliches near the end. The cliches serve to move the plot to its conclusion but two of them really took me out of the story.

When this book focuses on humor, it's great but the supposed emotional beats don't come across as believable. I'm still invested enough t keep reading though, as I'm intrigued as to how this is going to cross into the larger Valiant Universe.

While still better at being a humor book than an adventure book, this volume is written significantly tighter than the previous volumes. The inanity is far more believable, the characters seem less melodramatic (but still pretty dramatic), and rather than Deus Ex Piger Scriptor, the plot seems to ravel organically.

There's a single issue of time traveling in this volume, but it's just a pub crawl through time, and not something where you have to wrap your head around when something is happening and whether it will affect that past or future of the book.

If you enjoy buddy comedies that are humorous, but not precisely funny, then this could be a Go To book for you.

While the other humor book in the Valiant Universe, [b:Quantum and Woody, Volume 1: The World's Worst Superhero Team|18430804|Quantum and Woody, Volume 1 The World's Worst Superhero Team|James Asmus|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1388424625l/18430804._SY75_.jpg|26072682] thuds its head against the wall with pop culture references in a desperate attempt at humor, this book manages to make an overabundance of media references an actually fun read.

In this volume, we see the duo deal with a hotel full of famous dead people, and a dangerous cult led by a celebrity that we've been led to believe is dead (no, not Elvis, but he's here, too).

It flirts with being Too Much, and then goes So Far over the line of Too Much that it comes back around to being fun again.

If you like your super adventures to be silly but engrossing, this is the book for you.

Sigh. Yes I know there is nothing original. But some tropes are just more tiring some days than others. Secret immortal. Hidden cults searching hidden objects. Blah blah blah. Brainwashing young people and turning them into ninja warriors. And yet this was pretty readable and well done and the characters were a nice spin. But the story behind the story is just so tiring. With good enough art and writing. 3.5 of 5.

Sacerdotes lamas ninjas nazis? (Si, sin comas). Monjas asesinas en las criptas del Vaticano? Inmortales con millones de almas robadas dentro de si? Y no corres a leerlo?
