It's the summer before her senior year, and Elouise is determined to make it her best summer ever. But things aren't going as she planned: the Magic Castle Playland amusement park is closing, the guy she has a crush on is still dating the perfect princess, and she has to dress up like a hot dog. So Elouise starts scheming of ways to keep the amusement park open and to break up Nick and Jessa (by pretending to go out with her best friend Seeley).

I understand that not every character can be likable / be perfect at all times, but Elouise was terrible. It was difficult to relate to Elouise (maybe it's because I am an adult and can see how terrible all of her ideas are), and the story suffered because of it.
If you are looking for an amusement park / romance story, read Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell.

I was pleasantly surprised by this novel! It was cute and cringey and heartfelt and heart breaking... I think most people can relate to hotdog girl. Jennifer Dugan has gained a fan here <3

While I usually can guess the plot twists in books I didn't see most coming while reading this. Nick is literally perfect at the end and he is my favorite character.
