i loveeeeed this book! it was so interesting to hear Gorrindo's story. She does a great job at depicting the complexities of her marriage, lifestyle, and surrounding environment without inherently villainizing any "sides." I also loved reading the tidbits included about her writing process and identity as a writer. This memoir does an incredible job at depicting how influential and special the people around us are/can be, and the importance of having good people nearby. It was fascinating and heartbreaking to see the wives side of husbands in combat and reading about the raw, vulnerable emotions these women constantly endure. Wonderful read AND gorgeous cover!
