I'm trying to read this with a view that it's nearly 40 years old, and with the understanding that the "superheroes" are objectively terrible people and that's the point, but I honestly have zero interest in continuing to read angst over the dead rapist, because you know, once you're dead you're retroactively a good guy.

This was not the book for me. The only reason I did not DNF was because we were reading for Book Club and I wanted to be able to discuss it. It is very political with a lot of symbolisms, but dated in the 70s. I struggled through most of it.
Graphic: Sexism, Violence, Murder, and Sexual content
Minor: Rape and Sexual assault
