Jack O'Dell is a tour de force - writing on social movement strategy with a loving tone from inside of the struggle for civil rights and civil equality. He's a prodigious thinker and a skilled writer and editor. This book presents some of his most comprehensive essays from a 40 year period. I was especially enthralled by his perspective on the Civil Rights Movement as anti-colonial uprising.
