Good sports narrative, I didn’t predict as much as I thought I would. Quick read. Enjoyed.

I can't say anything intelligent about why I didn't like this. It was just icky.

Texas, football, and predictability. It's a hat trick of things I don't care about.
I need a goodreads filter to start weeding out stories of dead moms and dead best friends.

I almost didn't pick this one up based on the reviews on Goodreads which were pretty awful. But I really liked the book. I like that Emily Giffin does Chick Lit differently, the characters are not typical and I like that, but I still find myself rooting for them.

Terrible... This may be the only book in my life I don't care about finishing!

Falling for your best friends dad while dating the hot head star quarterback. Yuck. I thought it would get better but no.

I didn't like this - hero worship of someone 20+ years older over a shared love of football. What else did they have in common? Why did she have to make the QB boyfriend abusive? Shea is 32 years old, drinks way too much, and doesn't have a good perspective -- football is her life. This was not a favorite.
