Another lovely, sweet and gentle read aloud. Bear is a kind and gentle friend. Love the Steads and their charming books.

A quiet story about a bear right before winter that has a story to tell but all of the other creatures of the forest are too busy to sit and listen but as soon as he wakes up all of his friends sit around ready to hear his story. Quiet, muted colors bring these beautiful illustrations to life.

Wasn't as impressed with this book as I thought I'd be.

A sweet story about a bear who waits all through the winter to tell his forest friends a story. Simple prose that always feels like it is going to rhyme before taking a turn, and rich watercolors come together to tell a delightful tale about the communal effort of storytelling.
