My new favorite

This series has been divine. Each book better than the last. And although I certainly adore Puck the most, Cove and Elixirs story was equal parts wonderful, heart breaking, devastating, and satiating. Uhg. I just can't. I don't want this to end!

Gah, I wish I could expunge the word orb from the English language. Eyes! People have eyes, ffs.

This is book three in the ‘Vicious Faeries’ series, and it’s just as hot and spicy as the previous two!
You’ll love this if you enjoy the ‘enemies to lovers’ trope.

I liked the aquatic theme of this one, it felt fresh, especially as a lot of Fae books depict them to be masters of the air or earth more often than not.

This is suspense, the plot is great (as is the spice

It's a very smutty book and the author writes in a very slutty way.

He doesn’t speak, but I don’t need him to say anything. I know he hears me. I know he sees what others in his world can’t see.

I cannot tell you all what an honor it was to read an eARC by one of my all-time favorite authors. Natalia’s writing has always been superb, but she truly outdid herself when she wrote Curse the Fae. Elixir and Cove easily landed themselves a spot among my top favorite couples in fantasy.

If you’ve read Hunt the Fae then you already know that Elixir is blind. And let me tell you this story brought out some emotions I hadn’t felt before when reading a first-person POV. Without his sight, Elixir is far more in-tune with his other senses: hearing, scent, touch…Need I say more? Natalia makes it so easy to experience everything as if you were actually in Cove’s shoes. She does not hold back, and she does not disappoint.

Hands down, this book was the sexiest, horniest, the most emotional story of the entire Vicious Faeries series. I love all of Natalia’s books, but this one particularly ranks high along with Trick from Foolish Kingdoms. I’ll be reading this again very, very soon!

So. I’m oddly into this series. I’m curious enough to keep going, but not in a I-have-to-finish-right-now way.

I tend to get a bit distracted by the writing. Like all the times the author mentions the gaze of Elixir (who’s blind).  The descriptions make him sound like he can physically see. It was confusing.

I also find her writing overly floral. Like I think it’s okay to be a bit more direct.

Lastly, while elixir had quite a transformation, I can’t say the same for Cove. Cove has the easiest game of the sisters—the least trials for sure. And when she finds out something big, it’s barely touched on. We also barely touch on the why she did what she did when she was a kid. I felt like it wasn’t explored enough. So while I could buy their love, I struggled with overall development of Cove.

I’m sure I’ll eventually continue the series. Maybe sooner. Maybe later. Who knows.

Arguably the most enjoyable one of the series! The word choice is still distracting and the pacing is still odd, but these two main characters seemed to have the most believable backstories, depth, and chemistry! I thought side characters were pretty well thought out and I liked most of the developments towards the end. After the absolute trainwreck of Junipers book, I found Cove really refreshing!
